About the Columbus River Dragons
The Columbus River Dragons, members of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) since 2019, are a professional hockey team located in Columbus, Georgia. We pride ourselves on providing an elite, high-energy hockey experience for our fans while maintaining a strong culture of professionalism, accountability, and team-first values behind the scenes.

Position Summary
The River Dragons are seeking a Video Intern to support the coaching staff with film breakdown and game preparation throughout the 2025–26 season. This is an in-person role on all home game days, with video responsibilities extending to road games as well. Interns will play a key role in managing and organizing film with a focus on quick turnaround to deliver actionable insights for coaches and players.

This position is ideal for someone interested in coaching, scouting, or video analysis at the professional level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be present on-site for all home games
  • Break down and deliver game footage immediately after each game or before 9 a.m. the following morning
  • Assist in covering road game video responsibilities, ideally working as part of a two-person team to alternate assignments
  • Tag and organize key moments from each game (goals, special teams, turnovers, etc.)
  • Prepare short, focused clips for coaches and players
  • Assist with opponent video scouting and prep
  • Coordinate with the Statistician Intern to integrate analytics with video
  • Maintain an organized, cloud-based video library throughout the season
Ideal Qualifications
  • Familiarity with basic video editing and tagging software (e.g., Hudl, InStat, iMovie, etc.)
  • A strong eye for the game — able to identify systems, spacing, and key moments
  • Organized and dependable with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person game-day setting
  • Available to collaborate remotely between games (Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
