ATHENS · GA
Live Event Production: Announcers, DJs, MCs
The Athens Rock Lobsters are seeking a high-energy, hockey-savvy Gameday Music Coordinator to drive the sound and spirit of our home games during the 2025–26 season. This role is crucial to creating an electric game night atmosphere that fires up our fans, hypes our players, and complements the fast-paced action of professional hockey.

Key Responsibilities:

Game-Ready Music Execution:
  • Curate and execute dynamic music playlists tailored to the flow of hockey—from warmups and faceoffs to goals, penalties, and timeouts
  • Deliver timely music cues for stoppages, power plays, fights, and momentum shifts to match the game's intensity
  • Incorporate team entrance songs, goal songs, and win music seamlessly into the production

In-Game Entertainment Integration:
  • Collaborate with the Game Operations and Production Manager to sync music with on-ice promotions, media timeouts, intermission contests, mascot entrances, and video board moments
  • Adjust music in real-time based on game situations (e.g., crowd reactions, comeback energy, penalty kills)

Team & Player Collaboration:
  • Work with Game Operations and Production Manager to ensure player warm-up songs reflect team personalities while aligning with team standards
  • Maintain music databases for team selections, team themes, and league-approved content

Atmosphere Creation & Fan Engagement:
  • Use music to control the energy in the arena, amplify key moments, and create a loud, intimidating home-ice advantage
  • Understand hockey crowd rhythms—when to energize, when to celebrate, and when to reset

Technical Execution:
  • Operate all in-game audio equipment and troubleshoot live as needed
  • Ensure high-quality sound output across all sections of the arena

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous DJ or music production experience at hockey games or fast-paced live sports events
  • Strong knowledge of hockey rules, timing structures, and game-day flow is highly preferred
  • Comfortable with live performance under pressure and adjusting quickly to fast game developments
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and all home games
  • Clear communicator with a team-first attitude
