Game Operations Intern
About the Role

The Athens Rock Lobsters is looking for a Game Operations Intern to join our team and help bring our game days to life. This in-office internship provides hands-on experience in event coordination, production planning, and game-day execution.
You’ll play a key role in making sure our operations run smoothly — from coordinating pregame materials to supporting real-time show adjustments. If you're organized, proactive, and excited about working behind the scenes in live entertainment, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and Organize Game Day Materials
Prepare staff schedules, run-of-show documents, logistics checklists, and access guides in advance of each event. - Proofread and Edit Documents
Review internal and external communications for clarity, consistency, and professionalism. - Update Game Day Scripts and Timing Sheets
Collaborate with the team to input script changes and ensure all departments are aligned on the latest version. - Print and Distribute Event Materials
Assemble and deliver cue sheets, credentials, signage, and more to staff and talent before each game. - Coordinate with Special Guests & Performers
Communicate logistics to anthem singers, halftime acts, and other on-site groups; assist with arrival and performance coordination on game day. - Track Game Day Deliverables and Deadlines
Monitor and follow up on assets from other departments such as sponsor reads, videos, and promotional content. - Manage the Night Sheet on Game Days
Help maintain real-time updates to the production log during live events. - Assist with Staffing Communication and Scheduling
Help coordinate interviews and onboarding tasks for part-time or game day staff. - General Game Operations Support
Be a go-to team player assisting with logistics, rehearsals, supplies, and problem-solving before, during, and after games.
What We’re Looking For
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic scheduling tools
- Available to work in-office regularly, especially leading up to and on game days
- Passion for sports, live events, or entertainment production is a plus!
