The Athens Rock Lobsters are seeking outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Game Day Experience Team for the 2025–26 season! These positions provide valuable first-hand experience working in professional sports while helping create an unforgettable environment for our fans.
Game Day Assistants will support the Director of Game Operations and staff in areas such as in-game promotions, merchandise, on-ice activities, fan interaction, and group experiences. This is a terrific opportunity for students, young professionals, or community members looking to gain experience in sports and entertainment.
What You will Do:
- Assist with the execution of in-game entertainment and promotions (handouts, on-ice activities, fan contests, mascot support, etc.)
- Help with concourse activations, merchandise sales, and fan engagement throughout the arena.
- Welcome and interact with groups, families, and fans of all ages to create a fun and positive atmosphere.
- Support post-game activities (e.g., fan experiences, auctions, etc.) when needed.
- Serve as an energetic, approachable representative of the Rock Lobsters organization.
What We Are Looking For:
- Outgoing, cheerful outlook with high energy on game nights
- Comfortable interacting with fans of all ages and backgrounds
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Must have transportation to and from games.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset — willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
- Prior experience in live entertainment, promotions, customer service, or student leadership is a plus (but not required!)
Details:
- This is a volunteer, gameday-only position.
- All individuals report directly to the Director of Game Operations or their designee.
- Shifts occur during the Athens Rock Lobsters' home games (evenings & weekends)
