The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.

Job Summary:

The Retail Supervisor has the opportunity to develop great relationships with our repeat customers in addition to informing the first-time customer of everything we have to offer. The Retail Supervisor is responsible for enhancing customer experience and sales generation in the following areas.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

      • Responsible for assisting in overall in venue retail at the Ice Den
      • Drives sales and initiatives
      • Utilizes reports to assist in loss prevention and reordering merchandise as sales dictate
      • Maintains pro-shop as merchandised
      • Training of all staff on business operations, skate and equipment fittings, skate sharpening and repairs
      • Responsible for assisting in the recruitment, hiring, training and management of staff
      • Coordinate and manage invoices, billing, purchasing and tracking departmental budgets
      • Oversee and manage scheduling and payroll
      • Works weekends
      • Supervises retail sales associates
      • Processes sales on point of sale
      • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of cash drawer
      • Greets and assists guests
      • Assists with fitting guests in hockey and figure skating equipment and finding correct sizes
      • Sharpens skates and repairs equipment
      • Assists guests with purchasing decisions
      • Maintains cleanliness of all retail areas
      • Additional projects tasks and events assigned

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience
  • Retail experience
  • Familiar with hockey and figure skating equipment fittings, repairs, and sharpening
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter with a high degree of enthusiasm, creative vision and ability to lead in a high-stress environment
  • Be able to make decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiar with operating point of sale system

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
