The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.

Job Title: Uniform Room Attendant
Department: Concessions

Job Summary:

The Uniform Room Attendant will be responsible for issuing uniforms to the staff before each event and ensuring all uniforms are returned at the end of every event.  The Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the uniforms are properly cleaned, dried and hung so that all employees project a professional appearance. It will also be the responsibility of the Uniform Room Attendant to maintain the Uniform Room in a clean and organized manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all co-workers with a welcoming demeanor and Issue the requested uniforms in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all uniforms have been returned at the close of each event and communicate with management the names of staff and/or NPO volunteers who failed to return uniforms
  • Maintain accurate records indicating the names and department of all staff that requested uniforms
  • Properly follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the cleaning and care of all garments.
  • Ensure all garments are neatly hung and organized by uniform type and size
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the uniform room.

 

   

Qualifications

  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers and management in a clear, professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures (e.g. heat, cold)
  • Must be able to perform physical requirement of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs and standing /walking for extended periods of time without sitting
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs.
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
  • Ability to properly utilize equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic is a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
