The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions, having gone to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. The National Hockey League’s southernmost team, the Panthers have reached the postseason in a club-record six consecutive campaigns. The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.

 An organization with deep roots in the community, the Panthers are owned by Vincent J. Viola, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Job Summary:

The Command Post position is an event-based position. This person will act as a central hub for the department and is responsible for the data entry of work orders as they are called in via walkie-talkie during events and hockey games. The information called out often involves patrons’ safety and is time sensitive, so it is imperative the person fulfilling this role is detail oriented and works well under pressure, coordinating responses and ensuring these work orders are closed in a timely fashion to prevent the situation from escalating.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Data entry: incoming calls need to be logged into our work order system.
  • Communication management: Relaying critical information to the corresponding personnel.
  • Coordinating responses with counterparts from other departments.
  • Monitor relevant incoming information from various sources in efforts to prevent duplicate work orders and calls.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical proficiency encouraged
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
