About the Role:
OEG Sports & Entertainment is seeking seasonal team members to support the ICE District Plaza. Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, the ICE Plaza features a fully integrated outdoor ice surface, serviced by a full-size ice resurfacer. ICE Plaza team members will support the plaza on a seasonal basis with maintenance and operations of the ice surface.
Core Responsibilities:
- Minor snow removal.
- Refrigeration plant checks.
- Minor Zamboni ice resurfacer maintenance.
- Fan Engagement and crowd management.
- Keeping outdoor area safe, clean, tidy, and daily maintenance of ice surface.
- Ice resurfacing as required.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience operating an ice resurfacer.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and their operation is considered an asset.
- Strong fan engagement and customer service focus.
- Able to work in outdoor climates.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Self-driven and able to operate independent of supervision for periods of time.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
