Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Event Presentation & Production, the Louie the Lion performer is responsible for bringing the mascot character to life at the Oil Kings home games and community events and appearances.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform as Louie the Lion and embody the character during Oil Kings home games, community events and special appearances
- Proactively engage with all Rogers Place guests
- Make a positive and memorable impact on the experience of our guests
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Experience performing in a suit as a school or business mascot will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of hockey and/or Oil Kings game presentation will be considered an asset
- Able to perform mildly strenuous activity for several hours at a time
- Superior interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Positive, energetic and professional attitude
- Passion for the sports and entertainment industry
- Schedule flexibility to work game nights and community events; will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on WHL schedule
