About the Role:
The Manager, Security Infrastructure & Credentialing is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of security technology systems and credentialing programs at Rogers Place and ICE District. This role ensures that access control, CCTV, and screening systems function reliably across all events and operations, and that credential issuance and records are managed with accuracy and compliance.
Your Focus in this Role:
Security Infrastructure Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of security technology systems including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and screening equipment across Rogers Place and ICE District.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of all security infrastructure to ensure continuous operational readiness.
- Coordinate with internal IT and facilities teams and external service vendors to resolve system faults, complete repairs, and manage scheduled maintenance windows.
- Maintain accurate system configuration records, equipment inventories, and maintenance logs.
- Support the implementation of system upgrades, expansions, or replacements as directed by the Director, including coordination of vendor installation and post-installation testing.
- Monitor system performance dashboards and escalate emerging issues to the Director with appropriate context and recommended actions.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for security technology vendors and service providers.
- Administer access control platforms, including user provisioning, access level assignments, system audits, and deactivations.
Credentialing & Access Administration
- Manage the end-to-end credentialing process for employees, contractors, media, and event personnel in accordance with OEG policies and NHL requirements.
- Process credential applications, verify documentation, issue badges/credentials, and maintain accurate records through the credential management system.
- Administer background check and verification processes in compliance with applicable requirements, including NHL Credential Verification System protocols.
- Conduct regular audits of active credentials and access permissions; identify and remediate gaps or non-compliant access.
- Coordinate event-day credentialing operations, including setup, staffing support, and troubleshooting of credential readers and access points.
- Respond to credentialing inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain credential records in compliance with PIPA and OEG data governance standards.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure security infrastructure and credentialing practices adhere to OEG security standards, NHL requirements, and applicable provincial regulations.
- Prepare operational reports on system performance, maintenance activity, and credentialing metrics for review by the Director.
- Support emergency preparedness planning and participate in drills and exercises related to security systems.
- Assist with documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as required.

Education, Experience and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in security management, criminology, information technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in security systems administration, access control, or a related technical security role.
- Hands-on experience with electronic access control and/or CCTV platforms (experience with Genetec an asset).
- Experience in a sports or entertainment venue, arena, or large-scale event environment considered an asset.
- Familiarity with credentialing processes and identity verification practices in a regulated or high-security environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Valid Alberta Security Services license or ability to obtain one.
- Security certifications such as PSP or CPP considered an asset.
