About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Graphic Designer to take charge of creative design solutions that work in collaboration with the larger marketing team. This role will focus on, but not be limited to, the OEG Hospitality brands.

 

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Lead the design of collaborative assets to support OEG Hospitality brands (Braven, Kindred and Alchemy)
  • Leverage creative guidelines as previously developed for OEGH brands tobe deployed across various digital channels, including digital, social and OOH
  • Work on the development of assets to support ICE District, Rogers Place, Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings
  • Create concepts and ideate on effective designs that achieve goals and solve problems visually
  • Create multiple deliverables for each campaign with an efficient and flexible workflow that are appropriate and unique to a multitude of platforms
  • Provide deliverables that are accurate with a high attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative team to lead and assist on projects
  • Stay on top of new trends and ideas in the field of graphic design, be able to research and recommend software/hardware technology advances to satisfy the future needs of the business

  • You’re self-motivated to continually research new trends and ideas

 

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of experience with graphic design in a professional work environment - experience in hospitality design is a plus
  • Post-secondary education in design or a related major
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus
  • Proven track record of consistent and clean design layouts with attention to information hierarchy
  • Strong typography skills
  • Ability to either work within, and create, brand visual guidelines
  • Experience turning a brief into a campaign
  • Proven ability of taking a project from ideation to execution
  • Ability to have a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
