ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Associate position is an exciting opportunity for those looking to break into sports sales. This 10-month contract position will not only focus on driving ticket revenue for the Edmonton Oil Kings, but also will provide best-in-class sales training and development through a structured cadence of learning sessions geared at growing both sales and professional skill sets. You will learn the tactical tools necessary to be an elite seller in the sports industry along with the strategic background behind the concepts and direction used in creating packages, pricing and marketing. Showcase your skills, become a top performer and create an opportunity to advance your career into an Account Executive position with the Oilers and Oil Kings.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Sell Season Seats, Partial Plans, and Group Seats for the Edmonton Oil Kings;
  • Complete new business prospecting outreach via phone calls, SMS and email;
  • Create and build relationships with new sales prospects;
  • Responsible for upselling select current clients;
  • Supports in-game sales initiatives via sales booth, influencers, hosting and tours at all Edmonton Oil Kings games;
  • Assist in executing in-game group experiences;

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma is an asset
