As a member of our Fan Experience team you will have an opportunity to create a welcoming and exciting environment that brings our fans to their feet.


Fan Experience includes:
  • Guest Relations Host
  • Ticket Host
  • Section Host 
Here is a selection of specific duties and functions that may be asked to fulfill:


  • Proactively address fans needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information regarding all ICE District venues (Rogers Place, Downtown Community Arena, and ICE Plaza), never avoiding a fan or leaving a question unanswered
  • Seek out opportunities to interact with fans and offer them assistance if needed to maintain fan loyalty and retention
  • Responsible for monitoring crowd behavior, and taking steps to ensure that each fan can enjoy the event without disruption from others
  • Be the first responder to all issues in the seating area, requesting assistance when necessary
  • Understand crowd dynamics, individual behavior, safety issues and based on the situation can direct the appropriate, measured response
  • Assist fans in finding solutions that best meet their needs while leveraging all available resources
  • Keep seating area safe, clean and tidy ensuring all fans are in the proper seat
  • Scan tickets as fans enter the arena, and ensure no fan is granted admittance without a valid ticket

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be COVID-19 vaccinated with 2 doses and be able to provide documented proof
  • Energetic, friendly and deeply passionate about delivering “I Remember Moments”, focusing on fan loyalty and retention
  • Strong observational skills to proactively identify fans needs, have full knowledge of all policies, services and facility locations (Staff will be trained in these areas)
  • Contribute to a high energy, fast paced environment that provides fans with an entertaining, fun and dynamic experience
  • Previous experience in guest/customer relations in forward-facing industries is considered an asset
  • A positive, winning attitude, incorporating integrity, confidentially, and discretion
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a collaborative team environment with the flexibility to change with new ideas that are introduced
  • Proficient written and oral skills
  • Ability to proactively handle emergency and high stress situations
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and solve problems
  • Ability to work shift work; daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid First Aid, with CPR/AED or equivalent (St. John’s, Red Cross, Emergency Medical Planning Canada – GMCC) is an asset
  • Ability to obtain ProServe through the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC)
