Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in planning, executing, and supporting the Railers’ overall marketing strategy and promotional efforts. This position is responsible for coordinating creative services projects, managing traditional advertising initiatives, assisting with campaign development, and overseeing email marketing communications to help drive ticket sales, brand awareness, fan engagement, and corporate partnership value.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns promoting ticket sales, theme nights, community initiatives, merchandise, and special events
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and internal communication for marketing initiatives
- Support season-long promotional planning and campaign strategy
- Track campaign performance and provide insights/recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with ticket sales, corporate partnerships, game operations, and community relations departments on promotional initiatives
Creative Services
- Serve as a primary point of contact for creative asset requests across departments
- Coordinate the development of graphics, print materials, signage, and promotional assets
- Ensure all creative materials align with organizational branding standards
- Assist with photography coordination and asset management
- Maintain organized creative archives and project workflows
Traditional Advertising
- Coordinate traditional advertising efforts including radio, television, print, outdoor, and in-arena promotions
- Assist with media buying logistics, ad trafficking, and promotional scheduling
- Manage relationships and communication with advertising vendors and media partners
- Ensure timely delivery of advertising materials and campaign assets
Email Marketing
- Assist in the building, scheduling, and deployment of email marketing campaigns
- Segment email audiences and assist with CRM/database marketing initiatives
- Monitor email analytics including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions
- Help maintain consistent messaging and branding across all email communications
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with game day marketing execution and promotional activations
- Support department reporting and administrative functions as needed
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative campaign development
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, sports, entertainment, or related industry preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design platforms preferred
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and CRM systems preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule
