DESCRIPTION
The Worcester Railers HC currently has a need for a Corporate Partnerships Intern. This position is based out of the DCU Center located in Downtown Worcester. This position will report to the Partnership Services Coordinator. This internship is UNPAID FOR CREDIT ONLY.
SUMMARY
The Corporate Partnerships Intern helps with all partner related activities including activation and execution of all contractually obligated sponsorship elements. The role is responsible for assisting with sponsorship activation at all home games, events and other corporate partnership related activities.
HOURS/DURATION OF POSITION
This Corporate Partnerships internship will run throughout the 2025-26 season and can be split into two semesters. Candidates will need to be able to work 3-5 days per week. Due to the unique nature of this position, the candidate must be able to work extended hours which will include working on nights and weekends for Railers HC events and all Railers HC home games.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):
•Work all Railers HC member and sponsor related events where applicable
•Assist in pre-game preparation and set up for all corporate activations
•Assist for fan engagement for all in-game activations
•Represent corporate department at fan assistance table
•Assist in coordination of game day fulfillment
•Perform inventory check for executed sponsorship agreements
•Assist in production of year-end sponsorship reviews
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
•Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Business, Sports Management, Event Management or related field required
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer) required
•Experience with Adobe web elements (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) strongly preferred
•Strong oral and written communications skills. This includes the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and get clarification, as well as the ability to write clearly and informatively
•Poise and the ability to present him or herself to others with professionalism and maturity
•An energetic and self-motivated attitude
•Comfortable speaking with professional athletes, coaches, and partners in a work setting
•Demonstrates a commitment to seeing tasks through
•Quickly and easily identifies problems and works diligently to provide solutions
•Attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
•Willingness to express and share thoughts and ideas to contribute to team brainstorm sessions
•Ability to work with a flexible schedule in order to be available for scheduled events, including nights, weekends and holidays
•Willingness and eagerness to learn, easily coachable
