Position Overview

The Wichita Thunder Hockey Team is seeking a driven, competitive, and revenue-focused Business Development Account Executive. This role is responsible for generating new business and driving revenue growth through premium sales, group outings, themed experiences, and large-scale ticket packages (100+).

You will take ownership of the full sales cycle—from prospecting and developing pipelines to closing deals and expanding long-term partnerships.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Aggressively generate new revenue through outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, and in-person meetings.

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline across both traditional and non-traditional markets.

  • Maintain 60–80 daily touchpoints (calls, emails, texts) while driving a robust appointment schedule with decision-makers.

  • Conduct discovery meetings to identify opportunities and present tailored partnership and group sales solutions.

  • Grow existing accounts by maximizing client spend, increasing engagement, and generating repeat business.

  • Renew, upsell, and enhance experiences for returning clients to increase lifetime value.

  • Collaborate on the creation and execution of revenue-generating concepts, theme nights, and fan experience packages.

  • Consistently meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines, and client communication logs.

  • Provide high-level customer service throughout the sales cycle and on game days.

  • Support the execution of group events, premium experiences, and activation opportunities.

  • Perform other revenue-supporting duties as assigned.
