The NA3HL Tulsa Oilers are seeking energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic interns to join our Game Day Operations crew for the upcoming season. This internship runs from September 1 through March 1 and is a great way to gain hands-on experience in sports operations, event management, and fan engagement — all while being right in the middle of the action on game days.
Position Overview:
This position is primarily focused on home game days, where you’ll help create an unforgettable fan experience. While most of your work will be on game nights, we may offer optional weekday opportunities for those interested in learning more about other areas of the organization. There is significant room for growth, and this internship could lead to opportunities within the NA3HL Tulsa Oilers, the ECHL Tulsa Oilers, or other WeStreet Ice Center roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Game Day Duties:
- Assist with set-up for the front ticket table, merchandise booth, and VIP areas.
- Help locate, waiver, and organize participants for intermission games.
- Assist with running intermission promotions and on-ice entertainment.
- Support FOH staff by ticket scanning, wristbanding, and ushering.
- Operate the mezzanine-level merchandise stand (including restocking and customer service).
Optional Weekday Opportunities:
- Partnerships – Emailing prospective sponsors and partners.
- Community Relations – Reaching out to local nonprofits for event collaboration.
- Ticketing – Learning ticket sales processes and customer service.
- Game Day Planning – Assisting with scripting, timing, and event flow.
What We’re Looking For:
- Availability for nights and weekends (especially home game days).
- A friendly, professional, and fan-focused attitude.
- Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous customer service or event experience is a plus, but not required.
