Role Summary
The Vice President of Marketing is a senior leadership team member that leads the strategic direction and oversees the execution of all organization marketing initiatives. Responsible for collaborating and consulting with our product group leaders (Ticket Sales, Fanwear, Food and Beverage, Consumer Products, Corporate Partnerships, Broadcasting and Streaming) to ensure our marketing strategy and sales campaigns drive sales for each group. The VP will provide the alignment necessary to reach or exceed the company's stretch-credible revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Embrace and embody the "FANatical Experience...Building Fans for Life" mindset throughout the department and organization by having a thorough understanding of the different fanbase segments for both the Mud Hens and Walleye. 
  • Architect and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy, owning the marketing budget: allocate spend across channels, measure impact closely, and iterate quickly to maximize ROI. 
  • Own the vision: develop and maintain a comprehensive brand strategy, positioning, and messaging frameworks. 
  • Manage, mentor, and lead the Marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks for internal team members. 
  • Lead the creation of captivating content across various platforms, including digital, print, and social media. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a marketing leadership role. 
  • Proven track record of successful campaigns. 
  • Proficiency in public relations, business development strategies, customer experience enrichment, analytics, and data-led marketing. 

Skills and Competencies

  • Persuasive storyteller and presentation abilities. Must be comfortable developing and delivering strategic presentations. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making. 
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and industry. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong executional instincts-you know, when to zoom out and when to roll up your sleeves. 

Work Environment

  • Frequently remains in a stationary position for the duration of a shift. 
  • Occasionally travels to baseball field, arena, and front office to work on marketing initiatives. 
  • Frequently uses office productivity equipment such as computers and printers. 
  • Constant communication with team, product and consulting groups. Must be able to exchange accurate information. 
  • Full Time, year-round.
