Role Summary
This role's primary function is to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable for The Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and process invoices from vendors ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors.  This may be done through a variety of methods such as checks, electronic transfers, or online platforms. 
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to accounts payable/receivable, working collaboratively with internal teams and external parties.
  • Record and track expenses, ensuring proper coding for accounting purposes.
  • Monitor and meet payment deadlines, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.  
  •  Create and issue invoices to customers for goods or services. 
  •  Monitor and track payments due from customers, sending reminders, and following up on overdue accounts.
Qualifications and Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or closely related field. 
  • At least 3 years' experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable. 
  • Experience working with accounting software. 
Skills and Competencies 
  • Ability to execute a number of tasks at the same time and working well under pressure. 
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication with vendors, customers, and internal teams. 
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
Working Environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment when working in the office. 
  • Frequently communicates with internal and external partners, must be able to exchange accurate information.
