Fan Entertainment Coordinator
Role Summary
The Fan Entertainment Coordinator oversees the preparation, planning and execution of entertainment activations for all Mud Hens and Walleye home games at Fifth Third Field and Huntington Center as well as our surrounding Toledo Community. This role requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and creativity. This position is primarily responsible for managing and executing gameday entertainment, and requires a flexible schedule, that will require evenings, weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute all entertainment elements for Mud Hens and Walleye games, as assigned.
- Research and develop entertainment as assigned, including music, cheers, host and public address announcer scripts, video boards, ribbon boards, contests, pregame, in-game and postgame entertainment, and mascot skits.
- Contribute new ideas for in-game features and experiences throughout each season for fans, that continue to evolve and enhance the game presentation, making it an industry leading experience.
- Serve as the floor manager during game days, acting as the primary point of contact to the Game Presentation Coordinator on the ground level. Assist with any in-game production needs.
- Hire, train and supervise the part-time/seasonal entertainment team members to work effectively in their respective assigned responsibilities.
- Coach, mentor and assist in the development of entertainment staff members.
- Oversee the booking of external mascot performances and coordinating their schedules to maximize exposure within the community.
- Manage and field all fan experience requests that occur on a gameday.
- Direct the team’s in-arena show on the floor on game nights to maximize the experience for all fans in attendance.
- Support the management and care of in-game equipment, props and supplies.
- Continually research and communicate with industry peers to elevate our entertainment experience for our fans.
- Provide supervisors with post-game feedback and implement approved suggestions when needed.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by Director of Events, Events and Entertainment Manager and Game Production Coordinator.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in sports management, hospitality, event management, communications or a related field.
- Experience in sports, entertainment and event management are preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lifting promotional items and props needed, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, etc. for the duration of the shift on game days.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position when working in the office (non-game days)
- Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment when working in the office.
- Game days will be outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
