Role Summary

Data Analyst is a member of the Fan & Business Intelligence Department for The Toledo Mud Hens, Walleye, and Hensville.  This role will maintain data storage, mine, organize, interpret, use statistical analysis, and visualize data.  They will use analytical and statistical skills to turn the data into meaningful information that can be used to help the organization leaders make decisions.


 Essential Responsibilities

  • Work independently and with stakeholders to mine data from current software and hardware platforms. 
  • Use descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to turn data into information. 
  • Gathers, organizes, and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, Vice-President Fan & Business Intelligence. 
  • Use visual data exploration and business intelligence tools to turn information into insights that product groups can understand and use in their operational strategies. 
  • Assist Data Engineer in identifying and resolving production and/or applications development problems related to the use of the database management system software or utilities. 
  • Track and analyze sales and marketing campaigns results. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, other related field.
  • Three years of experience working in business analytics, statistics or consumer insights preferred. 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Ability to execute a number of tasks at the same time and working well under pressure. 
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail. 
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to collect and compile relevant data. 
  • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically. 
  • Strong business analysis skills. 
  • Understanding of computer languages used with database management.
  • Experience with R or Python.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Working Environment 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment when working in the office. 
  • Frequent communication with peers, must be able to exchange accurate information.
