Merchandise Manager Job Description
● Design, select, purchase, and manage inventory of all merchandise for the Stingrays.
● Create detailed merchandise reports for Team President and Owner.
● Supervise team store staff which includes scheduling of hours and the delegation of tasks.
● Develop a retail merchandise strategy to identify popular items, promotions, and price points to meet projected revenue goals and forecasted budget.
● Identify and vet potential vendors and negotiate terms and conditions for the design, purchase, and delivery of merchandise and souvenir items.
● Coordinate with Equipment Manager for sale of game used Stingrays equipment.
● Oversee the team store, E-commerce and online store, including the monitoring of sales, collection of online orders, packaging and shipping of items, and website layout design.
● Coordinate with the Manager of Marketing, Graphic Designer, and Game Operations to execute promotional sales through the team social media channels and In-Game Presentation.
● Prepare and maintain accurate inventory records, and adjust inventory as needed.
● Prepare daily sales reports and maintain familiarity with the retail merchandise budget.
● Manage the retail merchandise Point of Sale System (POS), which is Shopify.
● Create an inviting retail store layout at The Reef that displays and promotes the team’s image and merchandise.
● Create and manage all Stingray jersey auctions and raffles
● Use Hotronix Heat Press Machine to apply logos, names & numbers to jerseys & other apparel.
Ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of management experience in retail operations. Experience working in sports retail preferred. Bachelor's degree in related field.
