The Rapid City Rush are seeking a talented and dependable Game Night Photographer to capture high-quality images during home games throughout the season. This role is vital to the team’s marketing, social media, and promotional efforts. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide photography services at a minimum of 20 home games throughout the season, including all designated promotional/theme nights.
- Capture high-resolution images of both the home and away teams, focusing on game action, fan engagement, promotions, and in-arena atmosphere.
- Deliver 5–7 edited post-game images
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Social Media to meet brand and storytelling goals.
- Maintain organized photo archives and ensure timely delivery to the creative and digital teams.
- Remain flexible and responsive to in-game needs, including last-minute content or sponsor requests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sports or event photography (portfolio required).
- Ownership of professional camera equipment (DSLR or mirrorless preferred).
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (or equivalent editing tools).
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required by the team’s home schedule.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow creative direction while also working independently.
- Must live in Black Hills of South Dakota or Eastern Wyoming (Local Applicants Only Please)
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with hockey or live-action sports.
- Experience working in a professional or semi-pro sports environment.
- Understanding of social media content needs and storytelling strategies.
