We are looking for someone who is passionate about filmmaking, eager to improve their craft, and capable of producing high-quality content in a fast-paced professional sports environment.

The intern will work closely with our creative team to capture and produce content surrounding games, practices, players, coaches, community appearances, promotional events, and behind-the-scenes team activities.

Responsibilities

  • Film and produce video content for Trenton Ironhawks games, practices, community events, promotional appearances, and team activities.
  • Capture compelling game action, player moments, fan experiences, behind-the-scenes footage, entertainment, sponsors, and other elements of the Ironhawks experience.
  • Create short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and other digital platforms.
  • Produce medium-length video features, including player features, interviews, promotional pieces, hype videos, and team-focused storytelling.
  • Assist with developing long-form and documentary-style content that tells deeper stories about players, coaches, the team, and the Ironhawks organization.
  • Take projects from concept and planning through filming, editing, and final delivery.
  • Edit video using professional editing software and create polished, engaging final products.
  • Assist with interviews, scripted and unscripted storytelling, promotional shoots, and special video projects.
  • Develop creative concepts and contribute ideas for new video series and storytelling opportunities.
  • Capture high-quality audio and understand basic lighting, composition, framing, and cinematography.
  • Organize, label, and maintain video footage, project files, and the team’s digital media library.
  • Collaborate with digital media, marketing, communications, game presentation, merchandise, and community relations staff to fulfill content needs.
  • Deliver content on tight deadlines, including during and immediately following games and events.
  • Ensure video content is consistent with the Trenton Ironhawks brand and visual standards.
  • Follow all arena, team, and league policies while working around players, staff, fans, and restricted areas.
  • Perform other videography and game-day duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to independently film and edit projects from start to finish.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar professional editing software.
  • Familiarity with professional cameras and video equipment.
  • Strong understanding of composition, framing, lighting, camera movement, audio, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to capture fast-moving action in a live sports environment.
  • Strong creative instincts and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also taking direction and collaborating with a creative team.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn, experiment, and improve.
  • Dependable, organized, professional, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
