Position Summary: 
Under general supervision by clinical leadership, the Athletic Trainer role provides athletic training and clinical support services in sports medicine and orthopedic practice and functions as a liaison between providers and local athletes at collegiate and high school youth programs, working closely with the Physical Therapy department. If the Athletic Trainer has obtained the Orthopedic Technologist Certification (OTC), they will also provide surgical assisting duties as directed by the orthopedic surgeon.

What You Will Do: 
  • Manage injury prevention, acute emergency care, and rehabilitation for ice hockey players
  • Work closely with team physicians, strength coaches, and coaching staff in fast-paced environments
  •  Update coaches and management daily on player availability, coordinate specialist or physician referrals, and maintain strict medical records

Skills You Will Need: 
  • Clear and concise communication
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • A passport for travel to and from Canada
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hockey calendar

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training required (graduation from CAATE accredited program). Master’s degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Athletic Trainer required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BOC certification. NBCOT certification (eligible or application in process). Casting certification required or needs to obtain within six months of start date.
  • One year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.

The pay range for this position is $61,256.00 to $82,867.20 per year.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
