Status:            Full-Time; Salaried Exempt

Qualifications:
·       Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or Business-Related field required

·       Familiarity with Database Management - Salesforce

·       Minimum of three (3) years Ticket Sales experience with a professional sports team including some supervisory experience 

·       Ability to travel and work nights, weekends and select holidays, in addition to traditional business hours, is required

·       Excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, customer service skills required 

·       Positive thinker required

·       Enthusiastic, tireless teacher, motivator and sales professional required

·       Excellent knowledge of PC systems including Word, Excel, and database management software

·       Ticketing software knowledge a plus – Ticketmaster Archtics, Fevo and TM1
 
 

Essential Functions:
·       Responsible for producing maximum revenue for the Maine Mariners hockey team through the sale of ticket packages, premium seating and group tickets.

·       Knowledgeable of product lines including season plans, partial plans, premium seating, and group packages.

·       Train and develop all full-time Account Executives.

·       Work with VP of Sales & Strategy to create campaign schedule to ensure complete prospecting canvas of all products.

·       Develops and educates sales team for improvement and potential promotions.

·       Assist with researching and maintaining relationships with all sales personnel to assist with product knowledge and seating requirements.

·       Responsible for reporting revenue, commissions, and tickets.

·       Manages all database information listings acquired through various entities 

·       Ensures that Account Executives are meeting all of their goals and objectives.

·       Assist with closing business, sales calls and appointments for all Account Executives and Sales Associates.

·       Work with VP of Sales & Strategy to establishes goals and incentive programs for sales staff.

·       Assists with requests for additional support staffing for outside events and games.

·       Organize and complete weekly sales reports for the VP of Sales & Strategy. 

·       Work with VP of Sales and Strategy to write, create, and execute overall Ticket Sales Marketing plan to increase Ticket Revenue

·       Prepare sales material and collateral

·       Create weekly and monthly sales contests to create synergy within the department.

·       Continued training of sales staff to increase Account Executives’ skill sets.

·       Research and implement “best practices” of sales events by networking with other professional sports teams.

·       Create a “true” sales environment.

·       Help create a sales budget for all ticket revenues

Intellectual/Social demands:

·       While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame.  This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.

 

Physical demands:

·       While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. 
 
Work environment:
·       The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-even times.
