Overview
The Kansas City Mavericks are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Equipment Manager to support the day-to-day equipment operations of our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our players and coaches have the tools, gear, and resources necessary to perform at the highest level.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Equipment Manager in all aspects of team equipment operations.
  • Prepare and maintain player equipment
  • Manage laundry, uniforms, and practice/game apparel for players and staff.
  • Set up and break down locker rooms for practices, games (home and away), and team travel.
  • Pack, transport, and organize team equipment for road trips.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of team equipment, apparel, and supplies.
  • Assist with ordering and distributing equipment in coordination with team vendors and partners.
  • Support coaching staff and players with day-to-day needs before, during, and after games/practices.
Qualifications

  • Previous hockey experience
  • Strong knowledge of hockey
  • Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment bags.
  • Team-first mentality and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
