Role Summary:  The Manager of Merchandise oversees and runs day-to-day operations of team merchandise sales, including but not limited to: purchasing and management of inventory levels to be sold through the team’s physical location(s) and e-commerce platforms, as well as contributes to the marketing, advertising, and sales plans of team merchandise sales through third-parties. This position is expected to build out the retail strategy surrounding events, marketing initiatives, and other market opportunities.

Supervises: Part-time merchandise associates and interns (as necessary) 

Key Responsibilities:
·       Creates, promotes, teaches, and delivers exceptional customer service. 
·       Creates fun, enthusiastic, and sales-oriented environment that enhances the customer/fan experience.
·       Manages the operation of stores and kiosks, including the arrangement of retail floor plans and merchandising to maximize sales and promote special items. 
·       Manages e-commerce site(s), including but not limited to: addition and removal of online items, order fulfillment, etc.
·       Conducts returns, exchanges, discounts, and other management functions through POS and e-commerce systems. 
·       Manages merchandise inventory counts and ensures appropriate inventory levels for both in-store and online merchandising.
·       Tracks sales and sales trends using POS reports, and discusses with President on weekly basis. 
·       Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end accounting. 
·       Oversees register counts at end of day and reconciles with POS system.
·       Enforces all policies in employee handbook. 
 
Qualifications and Experience
·       3-4 years of Retail sales and/or Customer Service experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a retail management position preferred.
·       Functional knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Shopify, Square Payment, etc.).
·       Previous retail buying experience preferred.
·       Previous experience with Point-of-Sale systems preferred.
·       Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:
·       Must be able to remain in a stationary position when working in the office. 
·       Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment. 
·       Lift, pull, and carry boxes up to 50 pounds. 
·       Frequently moves around store and inventory spaces to rearrange inventory, assist customers.
