Role Summary
The Fishers Freight Promotional Squad is a co-ed promotional team that brings high energy and excitement to every Fishers Freight home game and community event. This team plays a key role in creating a true home-field advantage by engaging fans, elevating game-day atmosphere, and delivering unforgettable experiences throughout the season.
Members of the Promotional Squad serve as brand ambassadors for the Fishers Freight, representing the team with positivity, professionalism, and enthusiasm at games, fan fests, and community events. This role requires comfort in front of crowds, a strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to bring energy to every interaction.
The season includes 8 home games running from March through July, with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-game, in-game, and post-game promotions and ceremonies for all 8 Fishers Freight home games.
- Support the setup and breakdown of Fan Fests and other game-day activations.
- Engage with fans to create fun, interactive, and memorable experiences.
- Perform on-court/on-field activities such as dance routines, t-shirt tosses, prize giveaways, and interactive fan contests.
- Assist with load-in and load-out of promotional equipment, props, and giveaways.
- Prepare and utilize props, materials, and equipment used during games and events.
- Ensure entertainment and promotional elements are executed on time and according to the game script.
- Recruit and escort contestants, special guests, talent, and participants as needed.
- Represent the Fishers Freight at community events, appearances, and team functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- College students preferred, especially those pursuing degrees in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Entertainment, Hospitality, or related fields.
- Dance, cheer, or performance experience is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in customer service, events, or promotions is helpful.

Working Environment
- Ability to lift and carry promotional items and props weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during games and events.
- Game days and events take place primarily indoors, with some outdoor Fan Fest activities.
