The Manager of Social & Digital Media is our lead storyteller – responsible for shaping how the ECHL is experienced in the digital world by fans, media and partners. This role will create momentum for the League by building narratives that inspire, educate, and draw people in.

The ECHL is seeking a creative builder who thinks strategically and executes relentlessly.
You will work closely with League leadership and our teams to shape the social and digital content strategy – and then you will own the execution. The strategy will accelerate the League’s most critical objectives. Every campaign, series, post and moment should support the broader priorities of the ECHL: development of the sport, deeper fan connection and powerful storytelling that elevates our brand. From real-time storytelling to long-term brand building, you are responsible for how we appear in the digital world.

This position will lead the League’s digital/social communication and marketing efforts by developing strategic relationships and creating engaging, platform-specific content for fans, sponsors, media, players, ownership, executives, and other ECHL stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Development of social media strategy including content outline, timeline of launch, and distribution throughout the year, with an emphasis on channel selection, voice, and interaction.
- Fulfillment and coordination of all ECHL digital strategy; Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and Youtube.
- Content creation; producing engaging, on-brand content across platforms. Stays current on trends and platform updates, and uses performance metrics to optimize strategy and drive results.
- Cultivates media connections to promote ECHL stories, highlighting league news, team updates, and player achievements.
- Responsible for creating and editing short-form video editing to fulfill digital strategy.
- Live game coverage and real-time monitoring of all ECHL games, actively engaging with teams and fans to enhance community connection, strengthen brand loyalty, and drive audience affinity.
- Serve as Admin on ECHL Social Platforms - regularly engage with ECHL fans, teams, sports accounts, etc. via Social Media to strengthen brand loyalty and affinity.
- Record and review League social analytics and revenue on a monthly basis to report to League/Team management (currently monitored through Brandwatch)
- Coordinates and oversees team photo uploads on Flickr, serving as the main point of contact for all related activities.
- Assist in oversight of league wide streaming platform; FloSports, including implementation, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Oversight and monitoring of league wide live-clipping platform; (currently managed through Magnifi)
- Monitoring and reviewing social media content from League stakeholders and ensuring compliance with ECHL Social Media policy.
- Serve as primary liaison to Member Team Social Media Contacts and facilitate conference calls as necessary to keep staff abreast of on-going trends and best practices related to social media.
- Assists League partners by producing digital content and delivering insights to drive ECHL program and partnership goals through impactful digital campaigns.
- Ability to work mostly non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends. Some travel is necessary throughout the year.
