Account Executive
Augusta Pro Hockey, an exciting new presence in the sports and entertainment landscape, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Executive to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-starter with superior planning, listening, and communication skills who is eager to build a successful career in professional sports sales. Under the guidance of our leadership team, you will be instrumental in driving revenue by selling season, group, and premium tickets for the Augusta Pro Hockey Club.
Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new season, group, and premium ticket sales through cold calling, outside appointments, and building tours.
- Identify and prospect new group sales opportunities via cold calling, referrals, and networking events.
- Schedule and conduct face-to-face appointments with key decision-makers within community and corporate groups.
- Staff ticket sales tables at games and events, as well as external networking functions.
- Create, plan, and execute engaging group events on a monthly basis to drive sales and fan engagement.
- Consistently meet and exceed all predetermined activity and sales goals.
- Work all Augusta Pro Hockey home games to support ticket sales initiatives and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and sales activities within the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Contribute to a positive and high-performing sales culture through strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas, and consistent enthusiasm.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of ticket sales experience in a professional sports or university athletic setting.
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems; Salesforce experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Archtics and/or TicketReturn is a plus.
- A team player with a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to achieve goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the sports schedule.
