The Atlanta Gladiators are looking for an energetic, hockey-savvy DJ/Music Operations Intern to bring the noise and energy to our home games throughout the 2025–26 season. This position plays a key role in enhancing the in-game atmosphere through strategic music playback and audio cues. The ideal candidate will bring energy, timing, and creativity to every game, helping to create an unforgettable fan experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Music Programming & In-Game Flow:
- Build and run high-energy playlists that align with the pace of professional hockey, from pregame warmups to intermissions and overtime
- Deliver real-time music cues for key moments such as goals, penalties, breakaways, fights, and stoppages
- Operate music playback and audio cues during all home games in coordination with game script and live events
- Execute intro music, goal horns, win songs, and other signature tracks with precision
- Coordinate with the Game Operations team to match music with promotions, fan contests, mascot skits, and video board content
- Adapt on the fly by adjusting music based on crowd energy, big plays, or momentum shifts during the game
- Maintain and routinely update a music library that includes team themes, crowd favorites, and popular music
Crowd Control & Atmosphere Building:
- Use music to fuel the crowd, build intensity during key stretches, and amplify fan reactions
- Understand the rhythm of a hockey game and adjust sound to energize, cool down, or reignite the arena as needed
Tech & Audio Operations:
- Operate in-house audio systems and troubleshoot issues in real time to ensure consistent sound quality
- Monitor levels and output across the arena to ensure an immersive experience for all sections
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience running music for live sports, especially hockey, is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with hockey game structure, timing, and rules is a big plus
- Ability to perform under pressure and respond quickly to changes in-game
- Strong attention to detail, dependable, and punctual
- Must be available evenings, weekends, holidays, and for all 36 home games
