The Allen Americans are a professional hockey club in the ECHL. Championship Hockey is the backbone of the Americans franchise since being founded prior to the 2009-10 season, with the Red, White and Blue having captured two ECHL Kelly Cup Championships (2014-15 & 2015-16) and two Central Hockey League President's Cups (2012-13 & 2013-14). Americans’ home games are played at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, which is located in The Village at Allen.

Position Summary
The Game Day Production Staff play an integral role in delivering a first-class entertainment experience for Allen American fans. Production staff are responsible for capturing and producing live video content that enhances the in-arena atmosphere through fan interactions, sponsorship activations, player features, instant replay, and game presentation.
Individuals may serve as Technical Director, Show Control, Soundboard, Camera & Replay Operators or multiple, depending on experience and event needs.
Essential Responsibilities
Technical Director
- Operate Tricaster switcher
- Manage video inputs and transitions during live Production.
- Execute/time out camera shots with graphics overlays, game bits, sponsorship activations with the DJ and show control operator that are requested by Director/Producer (Game Presentations, Director)
- Clearly communicate with camera and replay operators and Game Presentation Director/Producer.
Show Control
- Check that all show control buttons work properly before doors open.
- Execute/Time out video board graphics, videos and game bits with the DJ and PA announcer that are requested by Director/Producer (Game Presentations Senior manager)
- Clearly communicate with other operators in the AV booth.
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues under pressure.
- Strong understanding of audio-visual equipment and show control systems.
Soundboard Operator
- Control all audio levels in-arena for the video board, music, anthem singers, and Host microphones.
- Assist in audio levels on live radio broadcast.
- Assist the DJ in smooth audio transitions from game play to timeouts, etc.
- Set up and test microphones, speakers, and other audio equipment prior to events.
- Quickly recognize and address any sound issues that arise during events to maintain audio quality.
- Work closely with the production team and announcers to ensure seamless audio integration.
Camera Operator
- Operate broadcast and in-house production cameras during all home games.
- Capture live game action, fan interactions, sponsor promotions, and entertainment features.
- Follow direction from the Producer/Director throughout the event.
- Frame shots professionally while maintaining smooth camera movement.
- Capture crowd shots, mascot interactions, contests, ceremonies, and player introductions.
- Be prepared for quick transitions during live play.
- Assist with camera setup, teardown, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain awareness of game flow and production timing.
Replay Operator
- Operate replay software during live games.
- Ability to recognize and identify key moments, replay quickly on-air, and create content with minimal direction.
- Capture and cue instant replays of game action.
- Coordinate replay timing with the Producer and Technical Director.
- Ensure replays are accurate, timely, and appropriate for in-arena presentation.
- Archive highlight clips for future use.
- Assist with sponsored replay elements.
- Maintain replay equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.

General Production Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for all scheduled call times.
- Participate in pregame production meetings.
- Communicate effectively using headset communications.
- Follow all production timelines and game scripts.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner.
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
- Help create an exciting, energetic, and engaging fan experience.
Qualifications
- Interest in sports broadcasting, live event production, or media production.
- Experience operating cameras or replay systems preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn live production workflows.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to take direction quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays during the hockey season.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Performance Expectations
Successful Game Day Production Staff members will:
- Deliver professional, broadcast-quality camera work.
- Execute timely and accurate replays.
- Communicate clearly with the production team.
- Contribute to a seamless, high-energy game presentation.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to enhancing the fan experience.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 30–37 home games per season, plus playoffs and select special events.
- Typical shifts range from 3-5 hours, including setup, event execution, and postgame teardown.
