Job Summary: This role performs maintenance tasks and services for the facility, providing clients with a safe and clean venue for events. This person is responsible for regular and as-needed court maintenance, including setup and tear down of events, to ensure a quality experience for all visitors. This position is not eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee and prepare courts for volleyball and basketball practices, games, and tournaments including, but not limited to, scoretable/scoreboard setup, charging remote controller boxes (RCBs), storage of RCBs when not in use, ball prep and distribution, bleacher setup, and officials rest areas
- Ensure overall cleanliness and sanitation of interior and exterior of building
- Thorough knowledge of all operating systems including but not limited to: Basketball goals, divider curtains, floor cleaning protocols, bathroom cleanlieness standards, food prep and concession storage regulations
- Ensure all equipment and hardware is kept in good working order
- Ability to monitor mechanical systems
- Basic knowleddge of HVAC with the ability to change filters, belts, bearings, etc.
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Experience in general building repairs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function and may also be exposed to adverse conditions, including inclement weather, noise, fumes, etc
