JOB SUMMARY: The Building Services Technician II ensures that all company facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety and appearance, cleanliness, and functionality. This position supports daily building services, performs building maintenance and repairs, and collaborates with facility management on construction, remodels, and capital projects. This position is not eligible for remote work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform building maintenance, including drywall installation and repairs, plumbing repairs, basic electrical services, etc. 
  • Identify and resolve facility issues such as recommending repairs and safety updates
  • Complete assigned work orders and projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist in ensuring all facilities are operational for scheduled events (e.g., setup, inspections)
  • Identify process improvements and implement solutions
  • Implement and practice facility regulations, policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe environment for all patrons and employees by following life safety and emergency protocols

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and assist in managing third-party contractors on a variety of projects, often simultaneously, at multiple facilities
  • Assist management with capital usage and budgeting, as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Experience installing and repairing drywall required
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge required
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a recreational, multisport facility is preferred
  • Capable of solving complex problems/troubleshooting with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to provide clear, concise, and timely verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
 
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle large objects, tools, carts and drive machinery. Reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear for up to 8-14 hours a day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function, and may be also exposed to adverse conditions including inclement weather, noise, fumes etc.
