JOB SUMMARY: This person will work alongside the General Manager to oversee the quality and success of the facility, while gleaning the knowledge and experience necessary to run a StarCenter. The functions of this job will encompass all daily operations including staffing, court management and providing outstanding customer service experience to all patrons. The Assistant General Manager must work closely with the Multisport’s Management Team and can step in and assist in each area if needs arise. This position is not eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work regularly with the Multisport General Manager in the daily operations of the facility
- Ensure that managers adequately train all new staff
- Generate new business and promote revenue growth
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with the community and local organizations
- Individual will be responsible for sales and training front desk/event staff
- Preparation and submission of daily deposits, create and analyze reports as requested by Multisport management, reconcile facility logs, order and track facility supplies, etc.
- Processing and verification of payroll into for direct reports
- Create and utilize a contact information data base for all event guests for promotional purposes
ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create manager-on-duty schedules
- Assist in negotiating and analyze all facility related contracts
- Be an on-site lead for special events when required
- Training and delegation of game schedule audits, court maintenance in system
- Cash management for all POS systems
- Serve as Manager on Duty for a minimum of two (2) prime time shifts per week
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree or equivalent experience is required
- High level of basketball, pickleball and/or volleyball is recommended
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
