Job Title: Senior Coordinator, Lifecycle Marketing
Department: Brand & Communications
Reports To: Manager, Growth Marketing
Location: This position is 100% in-person and is based at the United Center in Chicago, IL.
Hours: Standard business hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday. However, all positions require non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) based on the event schedule.
Status: Full-time, Exempt

Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position is $62,000 to $65,000. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations. This role is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus program.

The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a dynamic marketing professional with strong written communication skills and a background in driving fan engagement, revenue and retention across the full fan lifecycle. This individual should be comfortable executing campaigns while consistently seeking opportunities to improve performance through testing, segmentation, and smarter lifecycle journeys. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, remains highly detail oriented, and brings a passion for sports marketing and fan engagement.

Position Summary:
The Senior Coordinator, Lifecycle Marketing will continue evolving how the Blackhawks utilize marketing channels, with a primary focus on executing Email, SMS, and web/app content. This person will be responsible for increasing customer engagement by designing and executing scalable campaigns that guide fans through unique journeys, while optimizing messaging and segmentation to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time through the right channel. In additional to working closely with Brand Communications on a shared content calendar and CMS, you will work cross-functionally on marketing efforts that span verticals and stakeholders across the organization to increase content viewership, generate leads and ultimately drive ticket and retail sales.

Primary Responsibilities:

Campaign Planning

  • Support Manager of Growth Marketing with overall strategy, execution, and reporting of all marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Define lifecycle frameworks and messaging strategies for single-game buyers, membership plan holders, lapsed fans and other target engagement audiences.
  • Conceptualize, plan, execute, and optimize audience targeting, segmentation, journey mapping, and creative/media to maximize demand generation.
  • Customize communication at scale for target segments and user behaviors through dynamic content and personalized elements, specifically through owned digital channels.
  • Determine cadence, segmentation, and channel mix by fan type and campaign
  • Measure, analyze, and present key channel findings in partnership with Business Strategy & Analytics to inform short and long-term business efforts.
  • Collaborate across all departments (Brand, Content, Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, Foundation, BSA, etc.) to understand and execute against organizational objectives.

Channel Execution

  • Design, test and deploy campaign touchpoints across owned digital marketing channels (emails, SMS messages, website and app modules, etc.).
  • Draft clear, concise, and compelling copy across owned channels; develop creative briefs and/or asset requests for design team
  • Own development of commercial fan journey touchpoints across Blackhawks.com and the team’s mobile app - including campaign and ticketing landing pages, lead-generation forms, and interactive fan modules built for data capture and marketable contact growth.
  • Build, update, and quality-check digital touchpoints to protect conversion performance - including form functionality, link integrity, appropriate UTM application, etc.
  • Partner with the Coordinator, Brand Communications - who owns editorial web and app content - to maintain a shared content calendar and clear ownership boundaries within the CMS.
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact with Blackhawks email/SMS service provider, and co-lead on day-to-day communications with website and mobile app providers; this role will also serve as the default lead on technical and platform matters.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of growth marketing experience, specifically developing and executing email marketing campaigns; SMS and web/app experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with experience managing multiple channel calendars
  • Experience planning and executing campaigns that involve segmentation, automation, and personalization strategies
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines
  • Ability to leverage a technical mindset with a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a “team-first” mentality
  • Passion for sports marketing and deep understanding of fan engagement trends
  • Ability to adapt to occasional variations in schedule including working nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate based on the event calendar.
