Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday
Status: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Duration: June 15th – August 14th, 2026
Compensation: $20 / hr

Internship Overview:

The Intern, Corporate Partnership Strategy will contribute to the growth of the Chicago Blackhawks’ Corporate Partnerships portfolio by providing support for departmental strategies & key creative materials. This internship will provide a hands-on and impactful introduction to the Corporate Partnerships industry by supporting a major market professional sports franchise and Original Six NHL club. Essential responsibilities for the Corporate Partnership Strategy intern will include industry category research & analysis to further develop category strategy; building data supported prospecting lists for Corporate Partnerships Business Development team, and proactive maintenance & development of go-to-market presentation materials.

Learning Objectives / Expected Outcomes:

By the end of the internship, the intern will:

  • Gain experience and understanding of the complete Corporate Partnership sales cycle.

  • Develop professional skills such as deck design, prospecting and outreach, and data optimization.

  • Apply academic knowledge to real-world business challenges such as deriving sponsor value, determining viable prospects, and creating digestible data insights.

*The internship will culminate in a 10-minute presentation to company leadership on key learnings, contributions, and overall outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Projects:

  • Maintain and develop best-in-class presentation materials and illustrative visuals for the Corporate Partnerships team.

  • Develop industry category analyses to help inform partnership category strategy.

  • Help to identify trend setting partnership opportunities using data driven insights, and consistent market research (Via trade publications, SponsorUnited, radio/TV play-by-play broadcasts, website, other arenas/teams, etc.)

  • Support the Chicago Blackhawks Corporate Partnerships team on ad-hoc projects, including ongoing prospect research and presentations.

  • Assist in inputting, maintaining, and extracting relevant sponsorship data in the sponsorship team’s CRM system (Salesforce & KORE).

Required Qualifications / Skillsets:

  • Ongoing pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field.

  • Ability to learn various technology solutions and tools such as Salesforce, KORE, SponsorUnited, Digideck, Vision Insights, Blinkfire, Trajektory, etc.

  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong time management, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.

  • Tremendous eye for detail.

  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to think creatively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work on-site at the United Center beginning Monday June 15th, 2026 – August 14th, 2026.
