The Carolina Hurricanes are hiring a part-time Daytime Retail Supervisor to help supervise retail operations for the Carolina Pro Shop. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Merchandise & Retail and will work closely with various members of the merchandise team. The ideal candidate is an organized leader with retail experience who enjoys coaching others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is available to work daytime hours, up to 25-30 hours a week based on business demand. This position is vital in preparing the arena for game days and events.
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with management of the Carolina Pro Shop at Lenovo Center.
- Assist with fulfillment and game day prep of merchandise throughout Lenovo Center. Including distribution from the offsite warehouse.
- Communicates with retail staff and customers to ensure that customer expectations are met, issues are resolved, and orders/merchandise is delivered in a timely matter.
- Lead and support daytime retail associates by providing direction, coaching, and assistance throughout each shift.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with merchandise availability, store information, and order inquiries.
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts of products to insure accurate inventory levels
- Maintain product information across systems, including receiving new merchandise, managing variants, updating pricing, assigning categories, and ensuring inventory accuracy
- Verify merchandise is properly stocked, tagged and presented to industry standards.
- Communicates to upper management shopping trends of fans and needs for the store.
- Ensure product displays are visually appealing and reflect current promotions.
- Work with Ecommerce team closely to coordinate orders and inquires for customers.
- Work closely with Distribution Manager to ensure stock levels are appropriately placed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma preferred
- Previous retail experience required; supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead a group of coworkers
- Basic understanding of retail processes; experience with Teamwork a plus but not required.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships
- Ability work in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion, perform heavy pushing/pulling of product and safely operate a manual pallet jack (training provided).
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to go between the arena and warehouse within the same day (within 3 miles of each other).
- Must be flexible in working irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid NC Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check
