Game night interns are expected to commit to working almost every home game, from the first preseason game in September to the final playoff game, which can be as late as mid-June.
Interested students are advised to look at the team's home schedule prior to applying to ensure they can work at close to every game.
Game night interns assist the communications department before, during and after home games, arriving 3 hours before each home game, and completing their duties about an hour after each game. They will be responsible for handing out credentials at the media entrance, press meal check-in, copying and distributing media materials to press row and locker rooms, press row clean up and post-game press conference audio.
Pay is $7.25 per hour and interns also have complimentary access to the Hurricanes' pre-game press meal.
