The Chef Tournant is responsible for the preparation and execution of Club and Catering related meals and functions adhering to established guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare all food according to recipe and production sheets.
- Assist Culinary Management Team with production of meal requirements and catering needs.
- Exhibit solid communication skills necessary to receive and issue instructions.
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize work areas, coolers and dry storage in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Use safe food handling practices and all follow all appropriate health department rules and regulations.
Pay for the position is $20.00 per hour
Experience/Qualifications
- Culinary degree preferred
- Prior experience cooking in a large volume F&B professional catering operation preferred
- Serve Safe certified preferred
- Ability to read and follow both written and verbal directions
- Ability to adhere to building policies and event requirements
- Knowledge of basic cooking and mathematical skills
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work with others and alone efficiently
- Ability to interact with fellow employees and general public in a positive and professional manner
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs of product unassisted
- Ability to remain alert and observant to avoid accidents and safety problems
- Ability to work irregular hours including, but, not limited to more than 60 hours per week, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass criminal background check
