The Operations Manager – F&B executes all Food & Beverage operations during events, ensuring high performance across concessions, premium spaces, catering, and all guest-facing environments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this role is the primary on-the-ground leader accountable for delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience aligned with established standards for execution, cleanliness, accuracy, and presentation. All Operations Managers are expected to contribute across all F&B areas, with flexibility to support concessions, premium, and catering as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Event Execution & Guest Experience
Event Execution & Guest Experience
- Lead F&B operations during events across all guest-facing areas
- Ensure all locations are properly set, staffed, and ready prior to doors opening
- Monitor service flow, speed, and guest experience; resolve operational issues in real time
- Maintain a visible leadership presence across assigned areas
Operational Readiness & Standards
- Oversee pre-event setup including stand readiness, equipment, product availability, and staffing
- Ensure adherence to standards for cleanliness, food presentation, menu accuracy, pricing, and professionalism
- Partner with Standards & Compliance by responding to findings, implementing corrective actions, and reinforcing expectations
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead and support frontline supervisors, staff, and vendors during events; provide direction, coaching, and real-time problem-solving
- Partner with Culinary to ensure food is prepared correctly, delivered on time, and presented to standard
- Coordinate with Supply Chain on product stocking and inventory positioning; communicate with Finance on pricing or POS concerns
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
- Address operational breakdowns in real time and participate in post-event reviews
- Identify recurring challenges, contribute to solutions, and support implementation of process improvements
Decision Rights & Authority
- Responsible for all real-time operational decisions within assigned areas during events
- Authorized to reallocate staff, adjust workflows, resolve service issues, and escalate critical matters to the Senior Director of Operations
This role does not: override culinary standards or recipes, change pricing or menus without approval, or directly manage Standards & Compliance or Supply Chain functions.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- 3–7+ years in food & beverage, hospitality, or venue operations
- Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced environments (concessions, premium service, and/or catering)
- Proven ability to lead teams and execute under pressure; strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Decisive, solutions-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable across different operational areas
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as use stairs as needed
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as event schedule dictates
- Must pass background check
