Summary
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks which include but are not limited to; painting, drywall installation and finishing, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, machine and equipment repair, building hardware repair and all other duties as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Must be able to trouble shoot and initiate repairs.
- Works with the Director of Facilities to develop the best approach to maintain and repair all aspects of the physical plant both interior and exterior;
- May assist in various project work as necessary;
- Must be able to utilize accumulated knowledge and analytical skills on occasion to solve unique problems, which may occur;
- Be responsible and punctual;
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Keep supervisor informed as necessary;
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times;
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information and issues worked with;
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident;
- Ability to work safely and promote and create a safe work environment.

Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
- Walk up and down stairs;
- Walk/stand for long periods;
- Must be able to work on high ladders and personnel lifts;
- A high school or equivalent trade school diploma;
- 2 to 5 years of general building maintenance, or building trades experience preferred;
- A valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Hours & Compensation
This position will be scheduled during the day, however evening hours will be required on a per event basis. This position is considered essential, reporting in inclement weather with possiblity of additonal hours during inclement weather.
This role pays between $18.50 - $22.00 an hour. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
