Summary

The Event Manager is responsible for assisting in determining and providing for lessee needs and conveys all aspects of the event to building personnel and event staff. Manages the resources of the building as it pertains to each individual event.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed outlines and instructions for events as required, based on lessee needs, and distribute information to the appropriate building personnel and event staff
  • Recommend staffing levels based on lessee needs for all event staff including security, ushers, medical staff, stagehands, etc
  • Provide financial reports and estimates
  • Assure that facility set-ups are in accordance with lessee agreements and needs, safety, fire and health codes and procedures
  • Provide direction and direct supervision to all event staff members
  • Identify and recommend capex projects
  • Perform such other duties as requested or required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information and issues worked with
  • May assist in various project work as necessary
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident

 

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years event management experience in a public assembly facility
  • Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with computer software pertinent to the job
  • Must be able to walk, stand, speak and move quickly about the building in emergent situations
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

Compensation

  • $55,000 to $68,000. NOTE: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
