Summary

The Ice Technician Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of ice conditions for HARBORCENTER Development, LLC.  The position will coordinate with The Rinks Management team in order to ensure efficient and effective services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Engineers, Programming and Operations Manager to identify areas of need and determine appropriate measures to meet the needs of HARBORCENTER Development, LLC.
  • Perform daily walk through of building to ensure cleanliness and all safety measures are in place and maintained.
  • Resolve and respond to escalated internal and external questions, concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintenance, repairs and working with vendors to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Communicate long term & short-term vision and objectives to Ice Technicians and Ice Maintenance staff.
  • Responsible for scheduling staff to meet business needs and schedule
  • Manage, hire, train, develop, coach and motivate all Ice Technicians and Ice Maintenance staff. Responsible for coaching and on-going performance communication with staff.
  • Directs and prioritizes duties with focus on the customer experience and linkages to HARBORCENTER Development, LLC services.
  • Balance labor and budget to be the most efficient and effective within the needs of the facility and associated programming.
  • Coordinate with KBC arena changeover for specialized events.
  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience with facility operations.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Fully trained on the operation and maintenance of the ice re-surfacer (Zamboni). Mechanical experience in relation to the ice re-surfacer (Zambonis), preferred.
  • Experience in planning, leading and managing development projects, including coordinating with peers to achieve successful outcomes, and tracking and reporting on progress to management team.
  • Strong overall computer skills, including Max OS X, Microsoft Office and/or apple I Works suites software, Internet and Social Media
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends and holidays.

Compensation

This position has a annual salary range of $62,353.20-$65,000.
