Summary

Working as a member of the Digital Strategy department, this position will be responsible for supporting the production of video content for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, and other related properties.

This individual will have technical knowledge of video production equipment and practices, as well as a firm understanding of video editing processes and techniques. The ability to work effectively under tight deadlines is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the team on a variety of video shoots, including but not limited to equipment transport and setup, camera and lighting assistance, and general on-site duties as assigned.
  • Provide shooting and editing support for practices, press conferences, and media availabilities. Shoot and edit game highlights as requested.
  • Properly organize and archive video footage and other project assets.
  • Utilize Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative products to edit projects as assigned.
  • Support the plans and processes laid out by the Dir. of Video Production and Supervising Producer.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Other duties as requested or required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in video production or an Associate’s degree with 1- 3 years video production experience.
  • Familiarity with the operation of professional video cameras and lenses.
  • Some knowledge of professional audio and lighting equipment is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong video editing experience, including knowledge of Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative applications.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Compensation & Hours

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00.  This is a part time role and must have the flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.  This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 season. 

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This internship operations in both an office setting and in a live events setting.  Live event coverage does consist of being around loud stadium noises and crowds.

Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes up to 20 pounds.
