Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for traditional accounting tasks such as reporting, data preparation and analysis, transaction posting, and account reconciliation for several entities in the Company portfolio. In addition, this position will assist in implementing innovative accounting processes and procedures to enhance overall effectiveness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General ledger accounting - prepare journal entries, for example: revenues and expenses for events, recurring entries, accruals, payroll entries, outstanding bank transactions, etc.
- Perform month end close procedures and prepare account reconciliations.
- Support management with annual audits.
- Task review and supervision for staff accountants and coordinators, including communicating errors and corrections where needed.
- Analyze account activity including researching, identifying, and proposing corrections where appropriate.
- Cash management - perform banking activities including transfers and wires, reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist with Intercompany management.
- Assist in designing, communicating, and enforcing internal financial controls and best practices.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings.
- Assist with invoice preparation and accounts receivable monitoring across all entities.
- Collaborate with external departments to support alignment with and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Other projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for the Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3-5 years full-time accounting experience required
- CPA/MBA preferred
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office required
- Private accounting experience preferred
- Oracle NetSuite experience preferred

Compensation
This role is exempt and will pay an annual salary between $75,000 - $95,000. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
