Summary
The Marketing Intern will support the marketing department with a primary focus on fan engagement, fan events, and theme night/special game experiences. The Marketing Intern will be involved in a wide range of activities related to the marketing and events operations of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of various fan engagement initiatives and special events throughout the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits 2025-26 season.
- Assist with event preparation including organizing supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all materials are ready and available for activations and promotions.
- Assist in the execution of gameday marketing promotions and activations – including, but not limited to: fan giveaways, brand activations, promotional appearances, gameday events and vendor relations.
- Assist the Marketing department in executing campaigns and promotional plans, including daily operations of the Buffalo Sabres Kids Club program.
- Assist the Fan Development Manager during focus groups to collect fan insights.
- Promote a positive fan experience and work as part of a creative team.
Position Specific Requirements
- Pursing a degree in Marketing, Events Management, Sports Management or a related field.
- Availability to work weeknights, weekends, gamedays and holidays as needed.
- Must possess strong communication skills, an outgoing and positive attitude and enjoy interaction with fans.
- Other requirements include the ability to work independently and as part of a team, work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as they are presented.
Compensation
This is an hourly position that will pay $15.50 per hour.
