Summary:
The Manager of Game Presentation is responsible for all aspects of videoboard production and in-game entertainment for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits and select special events held at KeyBank Center. This position works in collaboration with the Director of Game Presentation to oversee and execute all pre-game, in-game and post-game content including music, videos, statistics, graphics, and live elements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of Game Presentation to ensure delivery of a positive and engaging fan experience in the seating bowl; this position will rotate with the Director to be the show-caller for Buffalo Sabres home games
- Work with Marketing, Creative Services, Business Development, Public Relations & Broadcast departments to conceptualize features and promotional elements for use during home games
- Lead the department in creative content management to enhance the in-game entertainment experience; request and approve all videoboard and LED graphics
- Develop, enhance, and drive the audio/visual representation of the Sabres and Bandits brand on gameday through video, traditions, music, entertainment etc.
- Assist in the management of part-time game night staff including hiring, scheduling and payroll
- Enhance gameday traditions through collaboration with other internal stakeholders and fan insights received throughout the season
- Assist with the planning and communication for player and team ceremonies: Hall of Fame, Milestones, Retirement, etc. Communicate with all necessary departments and submit to the NHL for approval
- Stay current with all NHL league memos and communicate to Game Presentation staff where applicable
- Serve as the lead for Buffalo Bandits game presentation including but not limited to: show-calling, creative content management, management of all game night personnel and preparation & distribution of all game-day documents
Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 3 years at the professional level in game presentation; show-calling experience required
- Prior work experience in sports industry; general NHL and hockey knowledge is strongly preferred
- Understanding of budgetary process and fiscal responsibilities
Critical Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, Photoshop), Ross XPression products (Tessera, Dashboard, DataLinq, Encoder) and ShoFlo preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely and professional manner
- Significant media acumen and knowledge of trends and programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:
This role is salaried and will pay between $60,405.80 and $64,873. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
