Summary

The Game Presentation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all game presentation elements for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits home games. This role oversees the scheduling and logistics of in-game entertainment, fan experiences, and special presentations, ensuring a dynamic and engaging gameday atmosphere. Key responsibilities include managing back-of-house operations, coordinating performances and presentations, supervising the Game Presentation internship program, and maintaining inventory of props, prizes, and giveaways. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects, collaborate with internal departments, and fulfill promotional schedules while continuously researching and implementing innovative entertainment ideas and technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Stage Manager and coordinate Game Presentation elements for Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits home games as well as provide support for other KeyBank Center events as needed. 
  • Assist with researching, booking, scheduling, and creating a positive experience for gameday entertainment including but not limited to Color Guards, National Anthems, LGB Drum Rally Participants, Intermission performances, in-game promotions and performances, on-ice presentations and other Game Presentation needs.
  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of various fan experiences at Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits home games including but not limited to: Sabres Access Program, FanZam Experience, Bandits Fan Tunnel, Birthday & Group Messages, etc.
  • Manage back-of-house operations for home games, coordinating the needs of anthem singers, intermission acts, and guest performers, and overseeing all game day logistics such as parking, credentials and payment
  • Oversee Game Presentation internship program including the hiring, scheduling, delegation of responsibilities and overall leadership
  • Manage ordering and inventory for all game presentation prizing, props and giveaways for both the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organization, communication, and execution without sacrificing quality.
  • Work in partnership with internal departments to find creative and entertaining ways to execute a cohesive and memorable gameday experience while fulfilling contractual obligations.
  • Assist in the execution of season-long promotional schedule including theme nights, giveaways and special events
  • Consistent research and pitching of new and innovative game presentation ideas and technology

Critical Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant event planning or event management experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines. 
  • Ability and desire to demonstrate a positive, winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Ability to self-motivate and to adapt to leadership and direction.

Compensation

This role pays between $18.57 - $21.05 an hour / $38,625 - $43,785. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
